Progressive Greetings Live will take place once again and is set to be the first post-lockdown greeting card trade show. The event was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19. For 2021 the dates have moved to 27th & 28th July allowing more time for the “new normal” to settle in.
Progressive Greetings Live is the only dedicated trade-only greeting card exhibition in the world. It takes place in the prestigious historic and airy Business Design Centre in Central London. The event is highly anticipated within the industry, attracting over 200 exhibitors, including many GCA members, and buyers from across the world.
In addition to the card displays and opportunities for both buyers and publishers, PG Live is renowned for the networking opportunities it creates. The social aspects of the event, from the free lunch to the after show drinks, facilitate an environment where new contacts can be made, and encourages collaboration. After a year of social isolation, the excitement for PG Live is building fast!
The Significance of the PG Live 2021 Reunion!
After over a year of no trade shows, PG Live 2021 is all set to be a very special reunion of the greeting card community. This will be the 12th PG Live, but it should have been the 13th, so it will be a double celebration of everything great about the UK greeting card industry – wonderful products, a great bunch of people and a true sense of camaraderie.
Greeting cards have really come into their own over the last 15-month period, providing that all important tangible way of people being able communicate and show they care.
As publishers have pulled out the stops with designs that chime with the public’s tastes, retailers have been there to meet the demand.
PG Live 2021 will very much play a part in the continuation of this – with thousands and thousands of new designs being launched by a vast array of companies – from leading brands to newbie start-ups and everything in between. (Not to mention some stunning complementary gift, stationery and party lines with some fab artists’ agents also all revved up to share their portfolios of newness too).
The PG Live Preview is out now, which gives sneak peek of just some of the fabulous products that will be launched at the show.
The GCA will have a double presence at the show, with a meeting area just outside the Gallery Hall lunchroom, which will be manned while lunch is served. Meanwhile the GCA’s Centenary Exhibition showcasing greeting cards over the last hundred years will be staged in the main mezzanine area.
