Fedrigoni are a long time member and supporter of the GCA, and a popular supplier of paper and board for greeting card publishers. Their support continues this year as they become a sponsor of the 2021 Conference and AGM. We spoke to Anne-Lise Billeri, Product Marketing Executive, to find out more about the company.
How long have you been a GCA Member?
Fedrigoni have been working with the greeting card industry for over 25 years, and we’ve been members for as long as I can remember! We are proud to support the GCA.
What services do you provide that would be of interest to GCA members?
Fedrigoni specialises in fine paper for printing, editing, labels, bookbinding, packaging, and paper products. We supply inspiring papers, boards, and envelopes to Publishers with a paper advisory service to match!
- Our team of paper consultants is available to help GCA members with their enquiries.
- Every colour, shade and weight for each paper range is available as a sheet sample for next day delivery.
- The minimum order is 20 sheets for our speciality papers, which allows to easily test designs on Fedrigoni paper and offers greater flexibility in production.
- We can also produce hand-made dummies to help visualizing your ideas.
- Our papers can be converted into standard or bespoke envelope sizes.
All GCA members are welcome to visit us in our Studio in Clerkenwell which offers the opportunity to discover and compare papers, view examples of printed greeting cards and take away samples.
Are there any innovations in your field that you want to share?
Sustainability and the environment are key considerations for us. We have defined a clear direction for the next years, with the aim of reducing our CO2 emissions, improving the management and recovery of waste and water, and selecting suppliers carefully, to demonstrate our compliance with best sustainability practices. We provide the Liscio Stucco range as Carbon Balanced with every order for no additional cost. Carbon Balanced Paper can be available with all Fedrigoni products at a nominal fee.
Also, a new swatch is coming soon: Materia Viva, the new collection of recycled papers, born from the desire to imagine and create in entirely new ways. The selection is composed of 21 ranges of papers made with recycled fibres. White, coloured, coated, and uncoated, rough, smooth: you will soon discover with which special papers you can enrich your sustainable projects.
Furthermore, we launched a new range of recycled papers named Symbol Card ECO, made with either 50% or 100% recycled fibre. Symbol Card ECO is characterised by a double blade coating on one side for a satin finish and an uncoated side, ensuring good results even with large block printing, so that it can be adapted to different kinds of printing and processing applications. Both papers are available in different weights and in both long and short grain, making it the perfect product for greeting cards.
Who would you like to meet at the GCA Conference?
We would love to have inspiring conversations with publishers who would want to discuss key sustainable products that will shape the future of the greeting card industry in the upcoming years.
You can meet Fedrigoni at the GCA Conference and AGM on 14th October 2021 in Manchester.
