This Members’ Zoom Seminar will be led by Briffa partner Will Miles, supported by members of the GCA Council, who together should be able to answer all your questions!
We receive many questions about Licensing and Copyright from publishers. In response to this GCA member Briffa has kindly agreed to host a GCA members’ Licensing & Copyright zoom seminar on 2.30pm 12th August.
This will include practical tips and legal pointers for GCA members. Briffa are experts in the field of licencing and will cover topics such pre-contract discussions, key terms to include in any agreement, practical considerations regarding royalties and what to do if things go wrong. The meeting will also include a brief explanation of copyright law and how infringement claims are assessed by the courts. The aim will be to help members understand what their right and remedies are if they think they have been infringed and how best to defend themselves if they have been unfairly accused of infringement.
