New 2015 Toolkit and Twitter Campaign Launched

Christmas time is a special time of love and caring, family and community, the time when we reach out to spread good will and happiness – and it’s when the Christmas cards start arriving that we begin to feel that lovely festive feeling. What better way to get this all started nice and early than by joining in with Festive Friday 2015!

Festive Friday is the special day for everyone in the card industry (and all lovers of cards) to send their personal Christmas cards, creating a sparky snowstorm of beautiful cards arriving in the first week of December and getting everyone in the festive card-sending mood!

We have lots of ideas and a brilliant Festive Friday Toolkit (see below) to help inspire you, get creative and organise Christmas card-sending events in the lead up to or on the actual day itself!

Take part in the GCA’s Festive Friday Twitter Giveaway!
Help us create a massive wave of free publicity for the day – all you have to do is give away a pack of Christmas cards (or two if you prefer) to your lucky winner!

Here’s how to take part:
Post a photo of your giveaway prize at 9am on Festive Friday using the words:

It’s #FestiveFriday! RT&follow by 9pm today for a chance to #win in our #giveaway. Get sending your Christmas cards!

Tweet your winner after 9pm and, if the winner has ‘followed’ you, send a private message congratulating them and get their address details for the prize. If the recipient then posts a photo of their prize a few days later, this can also be retweeted.

More ideas!

Change your Facebook, Twitter covers and email sign off images to Festive Friday ones in the lead up to the day – these are all in the toolkit below.

Donate some (old or new) Christmas cards to a good cause: contact your local school, play centre, an elderly people’s home, charity, hospital ward for elderly people or children, community centre or church group. Give them a lovely box of free Christmas cards, details of Festive Friday and a poster to help them to organise a Christmas card sending event on the day.

Organise a Festive Friday event at work using the toolkit below. Get your staff together for a hour to write their Christmas cards, provide the cards and postage and send them all out on the day.

Take photos! Post these on Facebook and Twitter and remember to tag us! @GCAUK
