Sharon King-Chai

Sharon King-Chai was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to London over twenty years ago armed with a jar of vegemite and some paintbrushes in her backpack. Sharon’s design career began in the music industry, creating album covers for bands like  Crowded House, Skin, David Bowie, Blur, The Subways. She moved onto writing and illustrating children’s books which have gone onto win a range of prestigious awards- including the Kate Greenaway Shadower’s Choice Award & Chen Bochui Award for Best Picture Book. She illustrates books for the phenomenal Julia Donaldson.

She now creates her own range of greeting cards and prints, which have been finalists at The Henries. She lives in north London with her husband and two girls.
