Rosie Tate

GCA Council - Council Member
Company: Cath Tate Cards

Rosie Tate is Co-owner and Director of Cath Tate Cards.

Cath Tate Cards, a prominent player in the greeting card market for the past four decades, was established in 1982 by Rosie’s mother, Cath Tate. The cards are sold across a wide range of shops, independent stores, chains and multiples and internationally to all English speaking territories and translated into French and German.

In 2011 Rosie joined the family business (despite the possibility of bickering with her mother). The condition Rosie set for herself, was that she needed to produce a greeting card range that sold within the first six months; otherwise, she’d go back to her previous career as a TV camera woman. Fortunately, some of Rosie’s cards sold and Cath and Rosie didn’t argue (too much) and it turned out they made a good mother-daughter duo! Rosie writes the captions for many of the cards and works closely with a host of talented artists, designers and cartoonists that Cath Tate Cards publish.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the council.  I’ve found the support, guidance, and help I’ve received from others in the greeting card industry and the GCA have been invaluable to my business and personal growth. I would like to extend a hand to others in the industry in the same way that I have been supported”.
