Wendy Jones-Blackett

Wendy is a Director and co-owner of Wendy Jones-Blackett Ltd with husband Steve. She started out as a sole trader making handmade greetings cards in 1996 and became a limited company in 2001. Their offices are based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds.

As the company’s only designer, Wendy produces hundreds of new designs every year; they have a sales force of agents plus an online catalogue for their independent trade customers, as well as brokerage accounts and export partners across the globe. Her contemporary style has won them nine Henries awards over the years and she specialises in foiled, embossed and handmade cards.

‘Having traded our way through the pre-digital age, the banking crisis and a pandemic we are still here so we must be doing something right! I have a passion for our amazing greetings card industry and card sending in general. It will be a great pleasure to work with the council continuing to promote greeting cards as part of people’s everyday lives’.
