The GCA is delighted to announce that booking is now open for our exciting 100th Anniversary Celebration Conference and AGM – Looking to the Future.

This will be held in London at Central Hall Westminster from 10.15am on Thursday 17th October. This location is opposite the House of Commons, where in November 1919 Nancy Astor became the first woman to be able to take the oath and sit in the House of Commons; an appropriate link to our own centenary celebrations. https://www.c-h-w.com/about/history/

The day will be a celebration of the GCA’s 100th Anniversary, taking the time to look at our industry, the High St today and the challenges we are facing, along with a look into the future of the UK greeting card industry.

We are delighted to announce that entrepreneurial retailer Olly Tress, owner and founder of Oliver Bonas, will join us as a keynote speaker. Other speakers include Geoff Sanderson, curator of the GCA’s 100th Anniversary Exhibition, who will look at the future of the greeting card market.

With environmental challenges high on the agenda for most publishers, the afternoon will consist of a panel discussion where we will learn the routes some of our members have taken to respond to these challenges, and an opportunity for members to gather information on the wide variety of environmentally friendly products and packaging options available, providing support and information as you find the right solution for your business.

The day will include lunch, and allow lots of opportunity to network and enjoy the GCA’s exhibition of 100 years of greeting cards.

We look forward to seeing you there.
